BOW WOW CONFIRMS COLUMBIA SPLIT

Bow Wow took to his official Twitter account to confirm that he is no longer with Columbia Records. The rapper wrote: “Wanna thank them for the release and also thank them 4 err thang. I made all my hits with them.” Bow accomplished ten top ten records with ten-million albums sold worldwide with Columbia. He is not looking to sign with Sony and wants fans to know he is looking forward to further his brand as an artist.

BallerStatus.com reports Ludacris is looking to get his own cognac line called Conjure. He has teamed up with Birkedal Hartmann, a Norwegian-owned cognac producer, and used “forty different brandies to create a product that reflects the taste and personality of the rapper.” Luda prides himself on doing all the blending, not just attaching his name to it. Conjure will be released in the U-S this September at $39.99 per bottle.

R.I.P Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, died at age 50. On Thursday afternoon, the pop legend was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles after collapsing at his home. He suffered from cardiac arrest and was not breathing when the paramedics arrived and the EMTs administered CPR in the ambulance. He will be missed.

Last night we stopped by Milk Gallery (NYC) for the opening of celebrity photographer Jonathan Mannion‘s photo exhibition. Mannion has been behind the camera for fifthteen years capturing some of Hip-Hop’s most memorable images. (Jay-Z – Reasonable Doubt album cover, DMX – Blood In Blood Out album cover, OutKast – Speakerboxx / The Love Below album cover to name a few).
