Shakira first collaborated with Wyclef Jean on the huge 2006 single “Hips Don’t Lie,” which could end up being one of the biggest hits of the decade. The two hooked up again on “Spy,” a song on Shakira’s new album She Wolf. La Colombiana told us it was better the second time around.
“It’s even more fun, you know, because, when we first did ‘Hips Don’t Lie,’ we, we barely knew each, you know. We built our rapport there in the studio, but now we’re really close friends; and he’s just a lot of fun and he is someone who I feel I have a lot in common with.” Shakira’s new single, the title track to her new album, is currently at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Her She Wolf album hits stores on October 9th.
