LIL WAYNE RAKES IN MILLIONS FOR SUMMER TOURS

MTV News reports Lil Wayne’s 2008-2009 I Am Music and America’s Most Wanted Music Festival tours were just named the top earning summer outings for any rapper this year. And get this – collectively, the shows reportedly brought in a combined total of 42-million dollars, beating out the previous top-earning hip-hop tour champs, Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige, who grossed 34.6- million with 28 shows in 2008.

His current all-star festival with Young Jeezy, Drake, Soulja Boy, Pleasure P and Jeremih, will wrap up tonight in Mansfield, Massachusetts

LIL WAYNE CANCELS DATES DUE TO ILLNESS

Due to illness, Lil Wayne canceled the Western Canada tour dates of the Young Money Presents: America’s Most Wanted Music Festival. Doctors told Weezy to scrap his performances as he was too sick. Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Soulja Boy and more were all set to play Vancouver and Edmonton Monday and Tuesday nights but were forced to cancel. According to a press release, the rest of the tour should be unaffected. America’s Most Wanted tour next heads to Denver, Colorado tomorrow.
